How gorgeous is this Chinatown red nail polish for the holidays? My friend Kendra is wearing it here, and it looks romantic and elegant. The color is deep, rich and glossy. Anton turns four months old tomorrow, and he is growing up so quickly! This weekend, for the very first time, he rolled from his back to his tummy!!! It was a big day in the Goddard-Williams household :)
I also read a fascinating article recently (although I can't remember where!) about letting your babies do things for themselves and get a little frustrated, if need be, while they work things out. So, for example, if they're reaching for a toy, don't just hand it to them, but let them keep reaching for a while until they get it. It's hard to listen to them complaining, but then they're so proud and excited when they make it work.
Also, in these photos, how cute are these Honest Company diapers? They just came out with their fall patterns, and those little foxes kill me.
Their natural, hypoallergenic diapers are gentle even for the most sensitive skin; and they're free of chlorine processing, chemical bleaches and risky additives (like fragrances, lotions and latex).

The temperatures are dropping this week, so it's time to get cozy! Here's an amazing way to make your whole house smell amazing...
First combine ingredients, like citrus basil (fresh and clean)...
Juniper and pepper (masculine)...
...or vanilla cinnamon (cozy and festive)...All you have to do is cover the ingredients with water and simmer on the stove—and voila! Your entire home will smell incredible. Great for a cold day inside, right? Or a holiday party! xo

One funny part of fall in New York is that you start spotting all the new nail polish colors on women around town. My favorite color might be this dove grey. Isn't it understated and beautiful? Since we'll be spending the next few weeks doting on the new baby, I've scheduled daily regular posts and guest posts, which I hope you enjoy. Of course, I'd love to pop in now and again to share family photos and our birth story, as well!First up: Do you ever make flavored water? It's easy and refreshing, and it's beautiful to serve when entertaining friends (or just reading a book outside). Plus, regular water gets boring! Below are three great variations we tried out...
Blackberry Sage. This was the crowd favorite. Tip: Massage or crush the herbs before putting them in the water to help release the full flavor.
Mixed Citrus. We used oranges, lemons and grapefruit; and blood orange would be beautiful, too. Tip: We actually added sparkling water to this one, which was delicious.
Ginger Mint. This had a great kick. Tip: The longer the ingredients steep, the stronger the flavor will be, so consider mixing this up a few hours ahead of time, depending on how strong you'd like the flavors to be.

Sometimes you just need a bit of pampering, right? So, last week, Toby and I decided to do a mama/baby spa day...
Our particular spa day was held at my friend Gemma’s apartment. That way, Toby and her son Errol could enjoy the splashy fun together. (Also, they have a much nicer tub; ours is exactly 1 billion years old—and looks older.)
First Toby ran a bubble bath…(Nothing is sweeter than multiple babies in the bath!)
Then, since it was a special day, we busted out The Ultimate Toddler Treat: lollipops.
With that sugary snack, they didn’t mind when we shampooed their hair, made soapy mohawks and washed their nooks and crannies.
The highlight of the spa experience was when we brought a colander into the bath and made it “rain.” The boys were totally delighted. (Brilliant idea, Gemma!)
After the bath, the little guys dried off with their animal towels. (I am going to weep and then frame Toby’s duck towel when he grows out of it, I love it so much:) Also, you will note that Toby is wearing diapers—we’re taking a few-month hiatus from potty training, since, in the end, he didn’t seem ready. I can explain more in the comments below, if you’d like!
Finally, we gave them massages with body lotion—an activity which, we quickly realized, had been easier with infants than with squirmy toddlers! (Here's a tutorial.) But Errol blissed out during the foot massage, and Toby thought leg massages were hilarious. He would dissolve into giggles as soon as I pressed his little calf muscle, it was so cute. (Is that a baby thing?)
It was such a cute afternoon, and the boys ended up happy, sleepy and sparkly clean. Mission accomplished. :)
